Welcome to Hull and District Canoe Club!
Founded in 1973, Hull and District Canoe Club is based in North Cave in the East Riding of Yorkshire. We are a large and active club with over 150 members of all ages and abilities. We currently hold Top Club status awarded by the British Canoe Union and East Riding Council Club Accreditation Level 3.
The club caters for all paddling disciplines and offers full coaching through the British Canoe Union Star Tests. A full calendar of events is available throughout the year providing activities for all levels of ability. As we have many family members we also have social events to cater for non-paddling members too.
We have two successful canoe polo teams and many of our members enjoy sea kayaking and flatwater paddling with monthly club trips. The club also offers white water paddling and playboating with regular river trips. Several recent international White Water trips organised by club members include: Nepal, France (Alps), Turkey and Ireland.
The club meets on Saturday mornings at it’s base in North Cave, we have access to a lake and own a large fleet of open canoes and kayaks in a variety of sizes that are all available for members use – so you can try before you buy. If you are interested in joining the club please visit our “New Members” page. We are always on the lookout for new members.
